CRITICAL INCIDENT 2026

Downtown Minneapolis

September 2, 2026, Minneapolis was shaken by a critical incident in the heart of downtown. In the face of uncertainty and danger, our Minneapolis police officers stood where they always do — protecting the community with courage, and an unwavering commitment to public safety. Their actions that day reflected the very best of what it means to serve: stepping forward when others step back and carrying tremendous responsibility so our city can continue to move forward.

The officers who were injured in the line of duty are facing long roads of recovery. They and their families are carrying the weight of medical bills, rehabilitation, and the emotional toll that follows a critical incident. These challenges don’t end when the sirens fade — they continue for months, sometimes years, and they require support that no officer should have to navigate alone.

We are asking for your help. Every donation, no matter the amount, directly supports injured officers and their families as they heal and rebuild. Your generosity provides essential financial relief, access to recovery resources, and breathing room during a time of immense stress. When you give, you’re not just donating — you’re standing with the people who stand up for Minneapolis every single day.

Together, we can show these officers that their city is behind them. Together, we can lift up those who have sacrificed so much to keep our community safe. Thank you for your strength, your compassion, and your support.
